Mark Mitchell joined the staff at Central Peninsula Church in 1986 and now serves as Lead Pastor. Prior to coming to CPC, he served as Youth Pastor at Valley Community Church in Pleasanton, California. Mark was born and raised in Los Altos, CA. He met Christ at the age of 17 and has been passionate about studying and teaching the Scripture ever since. After graduating from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California, he attended Scribe School at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California from 1979 to 1981. He also holds an MA in Church History from Denver Seminary (1987) and a Doctorate in Preaching from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Mark has published three books: Portrait of Integrity: The Life of Ray C. Stedman, The Power of His Presence, TEN: How the Commandments Set Us Free, and Immeasurably More.

Family

Mark married his wife Lynn in 1978 and they have three grown children: Anne-Marie Sanford (married to Michael), Kimberly Bahou (married to Asad), and Matthew (married to Megan). He is also the proud grandfather of Peyton Jean Sanford, Gunnar Mark Sanford, Griffin Michael Sanford, Christian Bishara Bahou, and Jake Mitchell Bahou.
